Terms & Conditions
1. Agreement
By hiring equipment from AJ Hire Shop, the hirer agrees to be bound by our terms and conditions as outlined herein. This agreement applies to all equipment hired from AJ Hire Shop and its subsidiaries across Victoria, NSW, Queensland, and other operational areas.
2. Equipment Hire
The equipment provided for hire remains the property of AJ Hire Shop. The hirer is responsible for the equipment from the time of delivery until collection. Any loss, damage, or significant wear and tear will incur charges that will be the hirer’s responsibility.
3. Payment Terms
AJ Hire Shop accepts various payment options, including credit card, direct deposit, and in certain cases, payment upon invoice for approved clients. Terms to be agreed upon prior to collection/delivery.
4. Hire Period and Extensions
The minimum hire period as per agreed dates prior to collection. Extensions must be negotiated and agreed upon in advance, subject to availability. Additional fees may apply for extended hire periods.
5. Delivery and Pickup
AJ Hire Shop will arrange delivery and pickup of the hired equipment at times agreed upon with the hirer. The hirer must ensure that a suitable access is provided for the delivery and collection of the equipment. Failure to provide access at the agreed times may result in additional delivery charges.
6. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled delivery time to avoid cancellation fees. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before delivery will incur a cancellation fee as disclosed in the initial agreement.
7. Use of Equipment
The hirer agrees to use the equipment only for its intended purpose and in accordance with any instructions provided by AJ Hire Shop. Improper use may result in additional charges or termination of the hire agreement.
8. Indemnity
The hirer agrees to indemnify and hold AJ Hire Shop harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of the use of the hired equipment.
9. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties will strive to resolve the matter amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be referred to mediation or an agreed form of alternative dispute resolution before any litigation.
10. Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which AJ Hire Shop's hiring facility is located, and the hirer agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
11. Changes to Terms
AJ Hire Shop reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. The current version of terms and conditions will be available on our website.
12. Errors and Omissions Excepted (E&OE)
All efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the information provided herein. However, AJ Hire Shop is not responsible for any errors or omissions, and reserves the right to make changes without notice. AJ Hire Shop disclaims all liability for any inaccuracies or incompleteness found in the documents or communications.
